What is Duroode Ibrahim
The Duroode Ibrahim, also known as Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah, is a special prayer of blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family, as well as Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and his family. Muslims widely recited it, especially in their daily prayers (Salah) after the Tashahhud.

Duroode Ibrahim Transliteration
Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin kama sallaita ‘ala Ibraheema wa ‘ala aali Ibraheema innaka hameedum majeed.
Allahumma barik ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala aali Muhammadin kama barakta ‘ala Ibraheema wa ‘ala aali Ibraheema innaka hameedum majeed.

O Allah, send Your mercy upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You sent Your mercy upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.

اے اللہ! حضرت محمد (ﷺ) اور آل محمد پر رحمت نازل فرما جس طرح تو نے حضرت ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) اور آل ابراہیم پر رحمت نازل فرمائی۔ بے شک تو تعریف کے لائق اور بزرگی والا ہے۔
اے اللہ! حضرت محمد (ﷺ) اور آل محمد پر برکت نازل فرما جس طرح تو نے حضرت ابراہیم (علیہ السلام) اور آل ابراہیم پر برکت نازل فرمائی۔ بے شک تو تعریف کے لائق اور بزرگی والا ہے۔
Virtue and Significance of Duroode Ibrahhimi in the Quran
This Durood is a significant part of Islamic worship. It is often recited to seek blessings for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his family, while also connecting the supplicant to the legacy of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).

Hadith on Durood Sharif
There is a Hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) explained the importance of sending blessings (Durood) to him.

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold, erase ten sins from him, and raise him ten degrees in status. (Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 747).
